As you can already see, we have completely changed the layout of Ukrainian Saturday School, in a way that we hope will work for both Parents and children. We are offering more variety and more varied activities each week. Already we have had a visit from a Police Traffic Car, we have done Sport and today Pottery. We are keeping with the Ukrainian Language classes, although these are only run fortnightly and we have made sure that the children can use the computers more often.

The other two major things we have changed is the cost, we are now only charging Ł1 per child, and all this money will go to the activities what are done within the Ukrainian School. There will also be more flexibility, you may turn up as often as you require, there will not be any penalty if you cant make it on some days. Finally, we will be offering trips, at present we are looking at going to a Christmas Pantomime, we have already booked a Camp at Bradley Woods Scout Camp and have plans to take the children to a theme Park in summer.
We now just hope that parents and children are happy with the new format and we want it to be a success.

After running the last two Summer Schools and making sure they were a success, I am now determined to make the Ukrainian Saturday School a success too. We have many plans for each Saturday and we will always be looking at how to improve it. Once again we have some quality helpers working with the children , I am sure they will be a match for our Summer School Leaders. On the subject of Summer School, I was very pleased how well it went and I look forward to next years. It was extremely special to me to see my eight students from my school do so well, in my opinion no one could have done any better.
